How to start to train Muay Thai Boxing?

Muay Thai Boxing: A Beginner's GuideIf you're new to Muay Thai boxing, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. But don't worry - with a little focus and dedication, you'll soon be on your way to mastering this exciting martial art.First things first: stance is everything in Muay Thai. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart, with one foot slightly ahead of the other. Keep your knees slightly bent and your weight evenly distributed between both legs. This will give you a solid foundation for throwing punches, kicks, and other strikes.Speaking of punches, there are a few basic ones that every beginner should learn:- Jab: A quick punch thrown straight out from your lead hand.- Cross: A powerful punch thrown from your rear hand across your body.- Hook: A circular punch thrown with either hand aimed at the side of an opponent's head or body.- Uppercut: An upward punch thrown from below aimed at an opponent's chin or torso. But before you start practicing these moves, it's important to build up strength in key areas like your arms, shoulders, core muscles and legs. Strong bones are also crucial for preventing injuries during training sessions. One great way to get started is by incorporating kettlebell exercises into your routine - this will help improve overall strength while also building endurance and flexibility.

At Carlson Gracie Slough we offer 10 weeks of better Muay Thai boxing email automation which includes weekly emails designed to help beginners understand fundamental techniques such as proper stance and basic strikes.
